It probably would’ve been appropriate for the whole squad to be named Player of the Match yesterday, but there can only be one winner and that is... Ismaïla Sarr!
The Senegal international ran away with it in the polls, similar to how he ran with the ball straight through the middle past Ezri Konsa for the third goal, with 50.4% of the vote!
With two goals and an assist, it was fully deserved, but let’s watch that third goal back again for good measure…
Runner up was Daichi Kamada, with 13% of the vote. He won the previous Player of the Match award on Wednesday night for his tireless shift against Arsenal. His midfield partner Adam Wharton was third, with 10.5% of the vote.
